My Current Nemesis

Banana Nut Muffins. Oh how I adore thee. I could eat muffins all day and I think I'd be a happy girl. A fat, unhealthy girl who would constantly have carb/sugar rushes and crashes, but happy nonetheless.

I really love pastries and baked goods. Actually, I really love food in general. However, when there's nothing else good (ie, when I'm at the dorms), I turn to the delectable and reliable banana nut muffin to give me a boost.

I've been missing my workouts lately. Finals time means stress time means I stay in my room as much as possible trying to cram in a quarter's worth of knowledge in a few days. If you had told me a few months ago that I would miss going to the gym, I'd have laughed at you. And probably run away. (To eat a muffin?)

I haven't gone to the gym since last Monday. I feel gross. I've been doing some calisthenics (basic pushups, crunches, whatever) but a short ten minute workout isn't the same as an hour or two of hardcore exercise. I'm so looking forward to Wednesday night, when I'm finished with exams. I'm going to exercise to my heart's content and finally be able to eat real, natural food that's not processed, over sugary/creamy/salty, or, well, dormified.

I can't believe working out is now something I look forward to. Just goes to show, people can change after all. Here's to the home stretch!

I too am a sugar freak! That's probably my worst food nemesis- sugar!

Get your butt to the gym girlfriend! ;)

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE CARBS!!! Muffins & bread... When I was in HS I'd go to the local bakery and buy banana bread and all kinds of breads (they changed the menu daily with like 10 diff. kinds omg! YUM! from PIZZA bread to berries... etc.. etc.. cinnamon *drools) and eat the WHOOOOOOOLE large loaf (the size of two of my heads I swear) during the day.... HAHAHA, I'm so gross.. I'd never think of doing that now... ugh, but now cuz of you I want that muffin....

Good luck on the rest of ur exams :) Also, eat more healthy brain foods... snack on fruits and stuff, that'll get your head in gear better than carbs (carbs just get me into food coma) eat lots of good lean protein!!! It'll help with the studying AND won't make you feel gross for skipping out on workouts as much!

heyy! thanks for visiting my blog and saying hi. i feel the same way- trying to be healthy but can't give up the good stuff in life. gotta find some balance, even though it's hard... or just have some ice cream. haha
